Accentuating our Work

December 17, 2009

Since the arch was finally done, it was time to paint the master bedroom and suite.

We were nervous that we would have to prime (Kilz) the master bedroom first since the gray was fairly light, but were delighted to find out that Lowe’s makes a paint that contains primer mixed in with the paint.  I was definitely on the fence about spending the extra $10/can, but we pulled the trigger, and one coat of paint later, voila!

With the vaulted ceilings in the master, this was a tall order!  Thank goodness Chris and I were both blessed with height and between the two of us, we were able to get the bedroom painted over the course of two different nights.

We decided on an accent wall, something we’ve never tried before—and we couldn’t be more pleased with the result.  For now, you’ll have to envision the beauty, because apparently I failed to take pictures of the finished product!
