In the In-Between

December 22, 2009

When I used to work in retail during college, we had something called our “IBC” tasks.  In Between Customers we were supposed to work on these other tasks.  Well, since we were moving in on Saturday, there were plenty of IBP (In Between Projects) that we worked on while we waited for spackle and paint to dry.  One of these projects was revitalizing the light fixture that was in the guest bathroom when we purchased the house so that we could use it for the master bathroom.  A quick coat of silver spray paint resulted in a brand new light fixture—sans rust!  Since we’re planning on renovating the bathroom in the spring, we wanted to spend as little money in the master bath as possible—but this was a cheap fix that looked great!

Tip: Sand the fixture down first to get rid of any rust sticking up and to have a smooth surface to paint.  Make sure to let the item completely dry before re-installing.

Pictures to follow when the master bath is done with update #1!
